Beloved wife, mom, grandma and great grandma, Patricia Lorraine Higby passed away peacefully on August 12, 2023.

"Pat" was born in Prince Rupert on March 7, 1930. She was predeceased by her parents, Alexander and Barbara Guyan and her 3 siblings, Alexander, Agnes and Peter. She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Higby, daughters Tricia Ewert and Cheryl Steele, granddaughters, Alayna, Shea and Carlyn and great granddaughter Sophie.

Pat worked full time as a bookkeeper while expertly raising her daughters as a single mom. Later in life, with Bill and an abundance of friends by her side, Pat had a busy social calendar she kept filled with dining, dancing, card playing, camping, travelling, volunteering and following the adventures of her girls. Pat had a quick wit, liked to keep up with current events and relished a good debate which she mostly won. Her final years were spent at Chartwell Crescent Gardens where, true to form, she had many new friends to share new experiences with. She will be dearly missed by all.

The family would like to thank everyone who provided care and comfort to Pat including the physicians and staff at Peace Arch Hospital and Melville Place Hospice and especially her family doctor, Dr. Olga Lamykina.
