It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Noreen Diane Cook (Nee Anderson) on November 17, 2025, in Long Term Care. Surrounded by love, Noreen departed this life with grace and dignity.
Noreen will be deeply missed by her devoted children: Dawn Kingsbury (Daniel) of Renfrew, ON, and Patrick Cook (Catherine) of Calgary, AB. She was the proud grandmother of Adam Kingsbury (Mila), Brady Kingsbury, Mackenzie Cook (Annie), and Morgan Emmerson (Jeff). Her legacy continues through her five great-grandchildren: August, Louise, Jude, Grey, and Miller. Noreen is lovingly remembered by her sister, Dawn Sealy (Nee Glazier & Anderson). She was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Eileen Anderson.
Born on January 9, 1940, in Winnipeg. Noreen’s life journey took her to Toronto and Maple Ridge, BC where she lived out most of her life.
Noreen found joy in painting and needlework and was a cat lover. She looked forward to weekly visits from her son Patrick who would bring her favourite lunch of Cheese Hamburgers, Vanilla Shakes and Fish and Chips. She also delighted in receiving packages from her daughter Dawn, often consisting of make up, jewelry, sweaters, photos and her cherished annual Cat Calendars. Noreen loved the fresh flowers sent to her room on special days, often noting that the latest bouquet was the BEST she’d ever seen.
The family extends sincere gratitude to Noreen’s care providers for their compassionate attention and support. Their dedication brought comfort and peace during her final days, and their kindness will always be remembered.
In accordance with her wishes, Noreen was cremated. A celebration of her life will be held in 2026, where family will gather to honour her memory and share stories.
May she find eternal rest, free from suffering, and may her memory inspire all who knew her.
