When I was a child, Uncle Mike was an intimidating large structure with a booming voice. As an adult, I was able to get to know a gracious man with a kind heart. I am sorry for your loss and hope you are able to find peace in his memory.

Searching through obituaries for family contacts, I was shocked to find Mike's obituary. My memory of Mike is in Fort Frances. He was teaching 10-year-old me to ride a bike. In spite of my scrapped knees, I found him to be very patient. It was a man's bike and he was unusually tall for an eleven year old - as I remember. Sadie was present. Maybe she can remember more details of that day. I miss my cousins. I had been in Vancouver in October 2022 (and had lived there in the summer of 1970) not knowing that family was so close.

Our sincere condolences to Allison and all of the Bodnarchuk family.

Alcide’s brother Guy was married to Mike’s sister Mae and in the early years Alcide had the privilege to visit at the Bodnarchuk family home on many occasions.
