We sadly announce that Maria Rosa Modenese, born July 10, 1935, took her final breath on January 27, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Maria was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Giorgio, in 2014. She is survived by her sons Frank and Mike, her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her brother Mario and his family in Burnaby, her sister, brothers, and extended family in Italy. She will also be missed by many dear friends.

To know Maria was to love her. She will be remembered as an accomplished cook, gardener and seamstress. It is well known that Nonna’s lasagne was second to none!

The family wishes to thank Dr. Edward Dubland for taking exceptional care of mom throughout the years.
