Born in South Holland, she began her new life in Canada at a young age in Grand Forks B.C. Later she met and married Jack, also from Holland, who crossed an ocean in pursuit of her.

After completing university, she moved to Edmonton, as a newly wed, as they both started in their respective careers. She was known as a hard worker and had a varied career path that included working as a realtor for many years, as well as in the banking industry.

They had one daughter who was raised with a true sense of family. Always active, whether walking, biking, camping or boating, she was always dancing throughout her life. She and her husband met many friends in the dancing community.

Retirement brought them to Tswassen, then to White Rock B.C. Restless in retirement, she quickly resumed working doing books at Jack's newly opened driving school- Tswassen Driving Academy- which was in business for many years. She did manage to enjoy her retirement with a lot of travel. They spent many a winter as snowbirds in Yuma, Arizona. They also went on an amazing number of cruise vacations and loved to travel to places near and far. Of course, she could always be found on the dance floor. She was exceptionally creative in sewing, petit point, knitting and needle crafts. She loved music and was a talented pianist. She also did Suduko puzzles continuously and enjoyed card games with friends.

Missing her is family from Holland and beyond, and in Canada, and all the enduring friendships she collected along the way.

She had a smile for everyone and above all, she loved a good laugh and to dance.

May her dance live on.
