Graham passed away from acute pneumonia at Peace Arch hospital in the early hours of Monday, July 3rd.

Born in Vancouver, Graham was predeceased by his father and mother, Gil and Mickey, and his sister Lynda Johnston. He was a steadfast helper to his mother and sister when they were ill. He is survived by his partner of 43 years, Suki (Lindy) Tasire, his adult children Brent and Dana from a previous marriage, and his granddaughter Sylvia.

A friendly, generous, and kind-hearted person, Graham was best known for his corny jokes and puns now commonly referred to as “dad jokes”— he was one of the originals.

He enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life: hockey, poker, golf, bridge, and fishing. He was also a pretty good dancer, particularly the jive.

Graham had many jobs in his hard-working life: a runner on the trading floor at the Vancouver Stock Exchange; TV salesman; a cab driver and dispatcher (known for his smooth radio voice) at Black Top Cabs; and finally as an equity trader for Merrill Lynch. Upon retirement, he returned to driving cab on weekends until age 71.

Graham will be greatly missed by his family, dear friends, and his White Rock neighbours, many of whom he chatted with every day while walking their beloved poodle, Hanna.

By Graham’s request there will be no public funeral service.
