It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald (Jerry) Rushton announce his passing at the age of 83. Jerry was born in Drumheller, Alberta to Gerald and Agnus Rushton and had 3 step-siblings, Joseph (Arlene),Caroll(deceased) and Shelley (John). At the tender age of two Jerry lost his mother and moved to British Columbia where he was raised by his loving grandparents, Angus and Jean Rushton.

As a young man he enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on old cars. He was drawn to finance and worked for the credit union for over 30 years.

Jerry was a devoted family man who raised two children Paul, and Barb (Paul Miller). He especially enjoyed spending time with his daughter Barb, and his granddaughter Caitlyn who was the apple of his eye. Jerry will be deeply missed by his son, daughter, son-in-law and his 5 grandchildren.

Jerry met the love of his life, Gail Davies in Kelowna. They shared many interests and enjoyed 20 plus years of love, laughter and true companionship. It was with Gail that Jerry achieved his dream of travelling to Alaska and then Italy. They settled in Pitt Meadows where Jerry would walk daily through the forest paths and along the Fraser River, rekindling his love of nature.

Jerry will be greatly missed by Gail Davies, her four children, Lori (John),Kelly (Gary), April (Dain), Aubrey (Christine) and their many children and grandchildren.

“We can no longer see you with our eyes, touch you with our hands but we will feel you in our hearts forever.”
