It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Wayne Lennox, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left us suddenly on September 6, 2025, in Surrey, BC at the age of 79.

Born on Jan. 7, 1946 in Prince George, Gary lived a life full of faith, love, music, laughter, and adventure. He cherished his family above all else and filled our lives with stories, songs, and unforgettable memories.

Gary had a passion for the open road and often turned long car rides into adventures, complete with imaginative stories and laughter that carried for miles. He loved strumming his guitar, singing old favorites, and being in choirs at church. A creative soul, he also found joy behind the lens of a camera, capturing the beauty of the world and the people he loved.

He will be remembered for his kindness, patience, Dad humour, faith and the way he brought people together through music, storytelling, his wisdom, and photographs. His steady love and warm presence will be deeply missed by his children Linda, Karen (Doug), Julie and Christopher (Melissa), grandchildren Kayla, Sarah, Emma, Lily and Lila, sister, Shirley, sister-in-law Millie, and many other dear relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Gladys, his parents, Daisy and Jack, mother-in-law, Elizabeth, brothers-in-law, Norm and John and best friend, Wayne.

A service to celebrate his life was held on September 22, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

Though he is no longer with us, Gary’s legacy lives on in every song sung, every photograph cherished, and every story retold in family gatherings.
