It is with great sadness that Douglas William Clark has moved back to the spirit world. He passed away at Vancouver General Hospital in room 27 at 11:37am. Stephen, Jas, Brett and Christine were all by his side. 

He was brave, strong and resilient. He was an incredible Father, Papa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. 

He knew the importance of family and showed us his love and commitment every day. He taught the importance of family to his children; Christine, Cameron and Stephen, and son in law Brett.

He was also a brilliant and adored Papa, to his four amazing granddaughters, Rachel, Sara, Alice and Lorde.

He also has four brothers Bryan, Dave, Scott and Daryl. One sister Marcia. 

He was always there when someone needed him in a blink of an eye. He would give you the clothes off his back if you needed them.

He was a handy craftsman and skilled at many hobbies. He loved to work on computers; building them and playing video games. He also built cars and furniture. He did take up hunting and was really good at that. 

In any of his hobbies or passions, most importantly, he carefully guided other male family members to work hard and do a great job. He did hardwood, tiles and built floors from natural trees.

He took a lot of pride in his work and you could see when the job was finished. The last big job he did he was the Timmy’s warehouse and that’s where his son in law is working at. 

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten and always honoured by his children and grandchildren. We will continue to honour him in the way we love and care for each other. I will always honour him in the way that I continue to raise my girls, with care and pride.
