David Allan Lee
After a short battle with a very aggressive cancer, David Lee of New Westminster, BC, died at the age of 66.
David was a gentleman. He was generous with his time and always extended a hand to those in need. His humour and consistent encouragement attracted others to him. He was an honourable man who valued and respected others. He was well-mannered and courteous and will be remembered as a person who accepted and embraced all people.
David possessed a strong work ethic. He took pride in his work and gave his very best. He was a trustworthy, dependable and loyal employee. He was a professional driver most of his working life and drove many types of vehicles, most recently a tractor-trailer. As the little David grew up, his toys got bigger.
David was known for his integrity and was a man of his word who followed through with his commitments.
David’s dogs were a very important part of his family and were by his side protecting him to the very end.
David will be missed. All who knew him are mourning his loss. The world is a lesser place without him.
David is predeceased by his father Doug. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Alice, his mother Joyce and sister Nancy.

Miss me- but let me go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little - but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me - but let me go.
For this is a journey we must all take
And each must go alone
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home.
When you’re lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me - but let me go.

Mr.Lee, working along side you i noticed you were a reserved, well mannered and generous man. I appreciate the trucking knowledge and experiences you shared the times we chatted. May God give your family the strength to heal during this time of grief. Rest in peace Mr.Lee 🕊

David was a lovely person. On occasion he helped me with household chores I wasn't able to do on my own. He had a dry wit and a kind soul. I am glad to have known him. My condolences to Alice, Tea, Topaz and the rest of his friends and family.

In the short time that we have known David as we became neighbours. I found that he is a genuine man thru our conversations. He was always will help too. When I found out that he had passed, I was sad and felt empty knowing that he was so young. Rest In Peace and until we meet again.
