Anne Berto (nee Anna Unger) was born in 1933 and passed away peacefully at home on July 1st, 2023, just before her 90th birthday.

She joins her husband Sam Berto, her son Terrence Berto, and her parents Susana and Peter Unger, who predeceased her.

She was the former president of the Maple Ridge Lapidary Club, a short-wave radio operator, and a long-time Maple Ridge volunteer with Veto Vandalism and Citizens on Patrol and the Maple Ridge Rod & Gun Club, and belonged to the BC Pioneer Truck Society.

She will be missed by her family, including grandchildren Melissa Martensen, Jacob Berto, and Mason Berto.
