It is with a very heavy heart we announce the passing of Rosalind (Rose) Mary Payne at Surrey Memorial (May 14/21) after a long and exhausting fight with numerous illnesses. Rose was a fighter till the end and I cannot be prouder to have had her as my wife, confidant and partner in crime for 44 years.

Rose was born in Vancouver B.C. on March 9, 1958. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Erica Schwarz and leaves behind her loving husband Bruce, daughter Melinda (Matt), son Ryan (Jenn) and grandchildren Aiden, Denika, Charlie, Sawyer and Grady. In addition she is mourned by her sister Christina (Dale), brother Robert and many brothers and sisters in law and nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.

Rose could not have loved her family more and it showed in the way she related to them. She was known for her stories (sometimes bordering on outrageous) and you knew if you were coming for dinner you were going to get a very tasty meal and leave full.

Rose was a long time Telus employee who received recognition from her co-workers and peers for the outstanding job she would always endeavour to do. She sometimes would accompany her manager to meetings so she could better explain new concepts that were being introduced.

God Bless you Rose, you were truly the love of my life and I know I will never find another like you to love so deeply.
